Health is Wealth
The "OK sa DepEd Health Program" is one of the programs organized by the Dulian Elementary School as mandated by the Department of Education. The said program aims to educate the students on Dental Health, Reproductive Health, Mental Health, and COVID-19 Protocols.
Last April 18, 2022, the Team Hiraya facilitated the health education held at the barangay's covered court. Hanan and Francis talked about Dental Health wherein they emphasized the importance and ways on proper brushing of teeth, regular dentist visit, and consequences of poor dental hygiene. Devee and Khartinie on the other hand talked about Reproductive Health putting an emphasis on the physiology of puberty, types of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and importance of screening and vaccination. Moreover, Gada and Angelika discussed on mental health. They talked about different types of mental illness, its symptoms, and how to stop the stigma. Lastly, Devee, the team leader, reminded the audience on COVID-19 protocols.
The team is extremely grateful for the opportunity to share their knowledge and educate the students with the topics mentioned above. They, too, enjoyed the activity as they saw how interested and participative the students are.
